Leadership Is The Core Of Colonel G.

Nationally recognized keynote speaker Colonel G served over 26 years in the US Army prior to his retirement. He developed his leadership skills leading soldiers and organizations from Platoon to Brigade level. He also led military and civilian personnel on multi-million dollar Information Technology programs for the Department of Defense.

An Evening With Dr. King.

He created “An Evening with Dr. King” a self-produced one-man show in tribute to one of his heroes, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. You see, beginning in his college years, people regularly commented on how much he resembled Dr. King in looks, voice, and spirit. He memorized Dr. King’s speeches, studied his voice and mannerisms and began to perform at church and school events. What evolved was utterly unbelievable. Dr. King truly came alive through him. His performance was both mesmerizing and inspirational.

Facing The Serious Questions.

After word got out about his performances, Colonel G was in demand to perform for MLK Day Celebrations and during Black History Month. Though exciting and fun, it began to leave him with an empty feeling. At the end of each performance, Colonel G held a question and answer session. What surprised him is that people didn’t ask historical questions; they asked questions about what to do today on various issues like poverty, violence, racism, empowerment and other topics. It revealed to Colonel G that people were starving for answers to serious questions facing individuals, communities and our nation today.

Colonel G decided to take on this challenge and address these issues head on as a Motivational Speaker. A motivational speaker focused on Empowerment, Leadership and Diversity and Race Relations. Colonel G incorporates all his talents including music and improvisation in his exciting, fun and inspirational programs. It propels audiences to develop and execute action plans that result in short-term, immediate and measurable successes. He leaves audiences with information on how to access additional resources for continued improvement. He has helped establish technology centers at local churches and organizations.

A History Of Service.

Colonel Gregg Riley graduated from Austin Peay State University with a degree in Business. He received a Master’s Degree in Technology Systems Management from the University of Maryland. He is a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. His military awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and the Parachutist Badge. He is the author of “Steps to the Promised Land”.
